Abt Alhambra. Sportster for all occasions.
The Seat Alhambra is more than just a car. With its roomy interior this vehicle offers plenty of space for family, freetime and work. Abt Sportsline succeeded in highlighting another normally hidden feature of the van. Depending on customersī wishes the Abt Alhambra offers a power increase of up to 158 kW (215 hp). The Abt specialists are also currently preparing a compressor version with 206 kW (280 hp). After receiving individualized treatment from Abt Sportsline - the worldīs leading customizer of the Volkswagen Groupīs four popular marques - the roomy Spaniard is undoubtedly the ideal means of transport for a fast and comfortable drive.
Fearful that the van, with its plentiful space, is lacking agility is quickly dismissed. In length the Alhambra is shorter than the VW Passat Variant, and thanks to Abt springs the body can be lowered by around 40 mm, resulting in a lower centre of gravity and increased agility.
Enhancing the optics of the Alhambra, the Abt team developed a rear wing for this road-going express train. Another eye-catching feature are the sports rims with the Abt 5-spoke design. Eleven different variations in six sizes from 7x15 to 8x18 inches are available for customers to choose from. Most of these rims can also be purchased with tyres to match.
Abtīs power-enhancement kits ensure that the engines deliver the appropriate thrust. The production-line 1.8-litre 20-valve turbo-charged unit with standard 110 kW (150 hp) receives a power plus from Abt to either 142 kW (193 hp) or 158 kW (215 hp). The top-model in the future will be the 2.8-litre six-cylinder, which, thanks to its turbo-charger, produces 206 kW (280 hp) instead of 150 kW (204 hp). What more could a sports-minded driver ask for? How about a powerful yet economical diesel? Even here Abt Sportsline offers some attractive solutions: The 1.9-litre CI engine, with state-of-the-art high pressure injection technology, receives an increase from 85 kW (115 hp) to 103 kW (140 hp). With the Abt treatment the Alhambra is ready for the fast lane. As a special service the Bavarian customizers offer a similar kit for the older diesel power units. By optimising the engine managment Abt Sportsline succeeded in increasing the performance of the first generation 1.9-litre direct fuel injection diesel by around 20 percent. The standard 66 kW (90 hp) becomes 82 kW (112 hp), with the 81 kW (110 hp) increased to 97 kW (132 hp). For all diesel engines Abt recommends an Abt oil-cooler, which prevents overheating of lubricants even under extreme loads.
Steel-braided brake linings, sport air filter, and muffler highlight that the vehicle customizers at Abt Sportsline leave their mark on every detail.
